# hunterhelpernow.app — replacement concepts

Five self-contained concept pages for replacing the current hunterhelpernow.app site. Open any `0N-*.html` directly in a browser (all assets are in `assets/`), or serve the folder:

```bash
python3 -m http.server 8787
```

Nothing here is committed (the parent `_do_not_commit/` is git-ignored).

## Source material

| Source | What was taken |
|---|---|
| `app_icons/logo_contest_winner` | Navy background, copper-to-salmon wordmark gradient, gold eye/flare, gold ring + olive + teal shadow on the emblem, slanted italic display type |
| `app_icons/web` | App icon (the gold eye on black) used as the notification avatar and favicon |
| monsterhunternow.com (official game site) | Warm earth palette: bark browns, sand, parchment, gold, copper; Noto Serif headings + Noto Sans body |
| Current hunterhelpernow.app | Only the phone mockup image (`assets/iphone-mockup-current-site.png`). The old template palette (pink `#F9425F`, blue `#47A1F9`) was dropped on purpose because it clashes with the logo. |
| `docs/marketing/01-positioning-and-messaging.md` | All headline and body copy, the verbatim phrases, the boilerplate, and the banned-claims list |

**Note on "MonsterHelperNow.com":** that domain is not registered and does not resolve. I assumed you meant the official game site, monsterhunternow.com, and pulled its theme from there. If you meant something else, tell me and I will re-theme.

## The five concepts

| # | File | Theme | Lead message | Structure | Best if… |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | `01-live-map.html` | Logo navy + copper gradient + gold. Barlow Condensed italic headings (matches the slanted wordmark). | M1 sighting map + alerts | Sticky nav → hero with an illustrated map card (pins, alert radius, toast, reset countdown) → 3 pillars → How it works → loadout strip → community CTA | You want the safest "app landing page" that looks like the logo. Closest to a direct replacement. |
| 2 | `02-guild-board.html` | Official-site earth tones: bark, sand, gold, parchment. Noto Serif. Quest-board cards pinned with gold tacks. | M1 + M2 as "notices" | Hero with the eye emblem → three parchment notices → RSVP ledger split → loadout callout → community | You want it to feel native to the Monster Hunter world without using any game art. Most "themed". |
| 3 | `03-alert-feed.html` | Near-black HUD, gold glow, Rajdhani + JetBrains Mono. Scrolling ticker of pins. | M1 alerts ("Get pinged") | Ticker → hero with a stack of push notifications over the eye emblem → three signals → filter "terminal" demo → honesty strip → CTA | You want to sell the *moment* (the buzz on your phone) and lean into the eye emblem. Most distinctive. |
| 4 | `04-dev-letter.html` | Light parchment + ink, copper links, navy logo plate. Single 720px column, serif body. | M3 honest/free, builder-post voice | Masthead → hero → "A note from the dev" letter → numbered feature list → screenshot placeholders → "The honest part" box | You buy the marketing doc's argument that builder-posts beat ad-speak. Cheapest to build and maintain. Only light-theme option. |
| 5 | `05-squad-board.html` | Teal from the emblem shadow + gold + copper. Saira Extra Condensed italic, huge. Sticky brand rail on the left. | M2 hunts that fill | Left rail (logo, nav, store buttons, emblem) → RSVP lobby + chat hero → three pillars → map & alerts → builds → Discord → labelled roadmap | You want to lead with lobbies/RSVPs and the Discord-first city launch. Only one with an explicit roadmap section. |
| 6 | `06-merged.html` | **Recommended.** Logo navy + copper, Barlow Condensed italic headings. | M1 map + alerts, with M2 co-leading | Concept 1 hero and pillars → dev letter → lobby/RSVP → "Is my city on the map yet?" → "Tools we recommend" → roadmap → footer | The gap-analysis recommendation, built. Build this one. |

## What every concept already includes

- The compliance boilerplate and trademark line in the footer.
- Store buttons and social links as placeholders: `#app-store`, `#play-store`, `#discord`, `#x`, `#facebook`, `#instagram`. Privacy/terms point to the existing `privacy.html` / `terms.html`.
- No prices, tier names, user counts, "official", game art, or spoofing-adjacent language (per doc 01 §5). Filters are only ever described as species, grade, element, weakness, habitat, breakable parts.
- Google Fonts links; swap to self-hosted if you want zero third-party requests.

## Still to decide before build

1. Concept 6 is the recommended merge. The other five stay as reference for swapping sections.
2. Real screenshots: every concept has a slot for them; none exist yet, and they must not contain game UI.
3. Real store/Discord/social URLs to replace the placeholder anchors.
4. Whether "Coming soon" is still true. All five assume the app is live in both stores, matching the marketing doc's boilerplate. If it is not yet, change the store buttons to "Coming soon" and lead with the Discord door.
